  7.         GET YOUR FEET WET, with a simple test run

  9.         STOP!   Have you taped the original disk so you can't write to
  10.         it.  Do it now.

  12.         Make a work copy of the files  on another floppy  or load them
  13.         onto the hard disk preferably in their own directory. Put your
  14.         original disk safely away.    This program will write files to
  15.         the disk  or directory,   so if using  a floppy your work copy
  16.         must not be taped to prevent writing.

  18.         Make the disk drive or directory default, so that the  program
  19.         can find its support files, and then enter the command
  20.         [FRTMGR]

  22.         When the menu is presented, select option "<1> Make switchlist
  23.         & wheelers.  Then, run trains".   Turn on your printer- you'll
  24.         use 2 or 3 sheets of paper- and step through the program.

  26.         Imagine  now  that  you've got to make up these trains and run
  27.         them.  If you were visiting the TETON SHORT LINE on a Thursday
  28.         night, thats the way it works.

  30.         After exiting, examine the disk or directory and you'll find a
  31.         new historical file [FRTMGR.nnn].    All the information about
  32.         the car movements is recorded here for whatever purposes we or
  33.         you may dream up in the  future.    Perhaps  justification  to
  34.         expand   your  rolling  stock?    If  you  like  to  play with
  35.         databases, this is a gold mine.
